The
Credit Information Bureau (CIB) together with its affiliate Bureau, the
Credit Bureau of Connecticut (CBCT), have been servicing the RI
mortgage community for over 20 years while CBCT has recently celebrated
their 80th year in business. Together, we have grown to become one of
the largest and most sophisticated credit reporting companies in the
industry.
In 1974, we joined with TransUnion, America's leading credit
information company, to service our base of customers. It is this long
standing relationship along with our commitment to provide the best in
local service that sets CIB apart from the field.
We take great pride in the long-standing relationships that our
marketing and customer service staff has built with our customers. We
make it our business to understand your business. Most of our staff
members have been part of our team for at least ten years. As a CIB
customer, you will not have to constantly get used to new contacts or
waste time reestablishing your needs.
In 1987, we continued to grow with the addition of our systems
division, Credit Systems
Design (CSD). CSD provides us with a sophisticated data center and
our UltraAMPS system that is the latest in technology for the servicing
of our customers. Unlike many service providers, CSD maintains our own
state-of-the-art data center at our Connecticut facility. The data
center and our UltraAMPS system was designed to provide superior
performance and reliability, and is one of only twelve companies
approved for direct access to Fannie Mae's Desktop Underwriting System.
